I’ve known Emily and Tyler since high school and have also know Emily’s twin since then too. So pumped when they told me they wanted to book for wedding and engagement photos I immediately was like YES PLEASE. Emily and Tyler have been dating for so long and when they got engaged Emily was still finishing up OT school so they decided to have a long engagement. Honestly long engagements are where it’s at because you have so much time to get everything done that it makes it that much sweeter to enjoy to loving on your new fiance. No stress…well minimal stress lol wedding planning gets the best of all of us.
Tyler and Emily both really enjoy outdoor activities so when we were searching around for locations they knew they definitely wanted a woodsy background. I have shot at William B Umstead State Park in Raleigh, NC so much that I quickly suggested that and they were so down. It was a nice day (obviously Raleigh spring weather can be a bit toasty but they were troopers) and we got some beautiful light. We only had a slight trip and fall in the creek but other than that things went smoothly. I loved seeing their personalities shine through in these photos. Each couple I work with is different and shows love differently and it makes me so happy when I got to see Emily and Tyler joke and have fun but also get a little romantic throughout the session.
Their wedding is next spring so stay tuned for those but in the mean time enjoy this perfect woodsy engagement session!!
